Billy Conway, Dana Colley (Morphine) and other friends/compatriots of the late Mark Sandman will featured in a tribute to Sandman this Friday on The Annex between 4:00-5:30pm marking the 10th anniversary of his death in Italy, July 1999. The show will feature tracks from an upcoming Morphine Anthology due 10/06/09 called "At Your Service" (Rhino). The release 11 tracks from 2 separate WMBR/Pipeline performances ('92/'93). The Annex tribute will be pre-recorded and mixed live from field recordings taken from rehearsals leading up to a pair of benefit concerts for the Mark Sandman Music Project where FOM have gathered from around the country to pay tribute. The benefit concerts will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27, 1-7pm, at Pacific Park, Cambridge and Wednesday, Sept 30th at TT the Bears. It's going to be a low-fi, free-for-all, to close out the summer season of The Annex. |
