L.P.

Kendall Cafe, January 25, 2003

They say "good things that come in small packages." Well, that would just start to describe LP. A petite rocker with powerful pipes. Stand back, her deep, rich vocals will wrap a warm blanket around you, then promptly knock you off yer arse. The day before, LP treated 3RC listeners to one hell of a set. She sang songs from her latest release "Heart-Shaped Scar" and debuted four new tunes from her upcoming release TBT (to be titled). You can see the set list here. One of her songs is co-written with David Lowery of Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven fame, who she has appeared with on the former's release "Gentleman Blues" on the hidden track "Cinderella." Below are shots from her Kendall Cafe performance. Unfortunately, my camera was broken, so no shots of her at the studio:-(

Learn more about LP at her web site. And do make a point of seeing her when she comes to your town.
