Asylum Street Spankers

June 7, 2002 - Live on Three Ring Circus- WMBR, Cambridge, MA

This was a fun show. The Spankers converged on the main WMBR control room and literally surrounded me. There were 7 of them, only 4 mics and me (and one of the mics was mine!). They usually play acoustic, so this was business as usual for them. However, I'm usually leery about such set ups, but these guys are pros. In 10 minutes they were set up and already through sound check.

The sound was fabulous and the musicianship, stellar and did I mention, they were hilarious too? Think Fats Waller, Bessie Smith and The Onion (not the food, silly).
