This band hails from Detroit, MI and closed the Continental Club on Friday night (3.15.03). At first I was struck with memories of Goober & the Peas and Loretta Lynn. Well duh! Front man Dan Miller was 'Goober' and his wife Tracee idolizes Loretta. So much for subtleties. I didn't recognize Dan at the show because I think he found Dorian Gray's mirror. The man looks younger than the last time I saw them 10 years ago. Or perhaps it's some deal he made with the man in the red suit. In any event, Dan is still spinning yarns of off kilter relationships and subversive behavior. The band also includes former 'Pea' Dan Feeny for this eerie ambient-alt country excursion.
