Daniel Lanois

This mini-performance was part of Daniel Lanois' Keynote Address at SXSW. He played one song on his pedal steel (Transmitter) and one on his guitar. His Keynote opened with a spoken word performance about his musical and personal path. Often referring to himself as "Little Danny Lanois" he illustrated many of his musical choices and offered a glimpse into his humble, Canadian upbringing. There is an east coast tour planned for May to support his upcoming release "Shine" due out April 22. Check out little Danny's web site here.
